Christmas in July - upcoming event

hosted by

Testimonial

Hi Ian

I just wanted to thank you for such a fantastic occasion last night. It was my first time at a Business Networking Group event and I've now suddenly gained over 20 new contacts and potential business partners. The Barbagallo Maserati showrooms venue  was amazing and I hope to visit there in a different capacity sometime in the not too distant future!

Thanks again Ian, a real pleasure to meet you and I look forward to being a regular BNG attendee.

Best regards

Jim

A bit of history

The Business Networking Group has been part of the ongoing support and networking program for the Health & Business Consultancy (HBC) for the past 30 years.

Its humble roots as the Young Turks Networking Group founded by Ian Wee in his younger self was to create a platform where younger leaders, managers and directors could congregate and network with each other in a safe environment and not be judged by their age or their youth.

Fast forward twenty years later the moniker – the Young Turks Networking Group did not seem an appropriate term for the growing middle aged adults in the group and therefore the name was changed to the Business Networking Group!

The Group has flourished over the past 10 years taking the much forced recess during the pandemic for about two years, only to re-emerge in 2023 stronger, more resilient and with outstanding projects that has seen extensive networking, business associations and synergies formed after each session.

For the past 35 years, one of the major hallmarks of the Business Networking Group’s achievements has been the build into relationship the importance of mutual gain or synergistic partnerships.

All so often you observe and hear where business deals and partnerships go wrong simply because there is always someone at the disadvantage and in ethical business, this should not be the case.

Come and join us and be a part of the growing collective of altruistic and synergistic businesses who network to support each other and who build bonds to share contacts and nurture each other.

Case studies and practical methods of doing so will be shared with the Presenters at this networking event.

Previous Session: Battle of SEXES

Last session of the Business Networking Group held an engaging and thought-provoking session at Gucce Pizzeria e Cucina Italiana in Applecross. The theme, "Battle of the Sexes in Leadership Styles," presented a challenging yet valuable discussion, and the panelists did a phenomenal job representing the opposing sides.

The panel, featuring Troy Taylor, Virginia Chuong, Maricor Tamisen, and Neville Smith, offered remarkable insights into leadership dynamics, diversity in leadership approaches, and the impact of gender on leadership styles. Their thought-provoking perspectives sparked meaningful discussions among the attending audience, making for a night full of learning and personal reflection.

Despite the complexity of the topic, the event was a great success, as attendees not only gained valuable knowledge but also engaged in excellent networking opportunities. The diverse crowd enjoyed the chance to connect, share experiences, and exchange ideas, making it a great evening for both professional growth and social interaction.

Not only the discussion, but we are thrilled to celebrate that Brain Cognition Clinic through Cognitive Medicine Team are supporting these two exceptional young women, Isla and Maddie, who come from different elite sports backgrounds. Isla is pursuing her professional ballet aspirations, while Maddie is aiming for the podium in cycling.

Both athletes, though in different fields, share a common potential and drive that  their performance is enhanced through our athlete program.

A big thank you to everyone who attended for making this event a memorable one. We look forward to the next session, the Christmas in July Business Networking Session!

Previous Session: THE christmas quarter 2024

The Christmas quarter at Cafe Lucia set the stage for our previous Business Networking Session, where we celebrated the festive season. Guests enjoyed a delightful selection of amazing food, complemented by the rich flavors of Juniper wine. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, offering the perfect backdrop for meaningful conversations and networking opportunities.

In addition to the holiday cheer, we were excited to mark the launch of Sport Formula Medicine and our collaboration with Arise Racing, both of which added a dynamic and innovative touch to the evening. We also had the unique opportunity to hear from Pay.com, offering valuable insights into the world of digital payments. It was a memorable evening filled with great company, delicious treats, and exciting developments, making it an ideal way to connect and unwind as we looked ahead to the new year.

Previous Session: Longevity

The term Longevity conjures up for most a long lifespan but the very word has associated variables which we apply in our life.

Consider some of the longevity variables that will be discussed and expanded upon in this segment of the Business Networking Group kindly sponsored by Sorrento Strategic Accounting:

  1. Longevity      in the chosen workplace.
  2. Longevity      with relevance to your profession.
  3. Longevity      with friendships and relationships.
  4. Longevity      with health and wellness.
  5. Longevity      with financial stability.

Each of the above variables will be covered through  round robin rapid fire groups which is reflective of the dynamic and interactive nature of the Business Networking Group.

Join us and this is a invite and register a like minded friend session so thinking caps on as to who you can collaborate and nurture.

Previous Session: Are you up to date with I.T.: Does AI frig

Ben Skender the CEO for Modn Tech has kindly consented to have Modn Tech as the next venue for our Business Networking Group’s program.

This will be the 4th in a series of 6 for the Year 2024 and what better theme than to deal with the ever evolving theme of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence.

Will Skynet popularised by the Terminator movie franchise become a reality, how much are we already reliant on AI and what does it do to improve the lives and well being of human?  Then there is the perennial discussion about ‘keeping up’ with technology because it is said that if you stop – you will be left behind.

Come and attend this thought-provoking topic and we will curate a Mini Debate with opposite sides providing their overview on what they perceive AI will become and we will then tap into the knowledge and experience of Modn Tech Solutions who are already looking after our digital and information highway!
